Finding a cheap flight to SE Asia

So for the past 3 weeks or so i've been scouring every travel related website, airfare consolidator, and budget airline on the Internet.  I've been unable to find any roundtrip flights to anywhere in SE Asia, be it Bangkok (BKK), Kuala Lumpur (KUL), Singapore (SIN), Manilla, Philiphines (MNL) for under $1200 USD.   This sort of presents a problem because I it leaves me with less money for travel expenses.    Seems like most cheap flights to SE Asia are leaving either out of Los Angeles (LAX) or San Francisco (SFO) but still not cheap enough for me to get there.  If anybody happens to find a roundtrip to SE Asia leaving out of Boston or New York for under $800, please let me know.
